NGK LFR5A-11 is a spark plug for petrol-powered boat engines where the dimensions match the engine manufacturer’s specification. The plug has a thread diameter of 14.0 mm and a thread length of 26.5 mm, which provides the correct reach into the combustion chamber for an efficient spark. Always check in your engine’s recommendation chart that LFR5A-11 is the correct choice before installation.
Installation and replacement
With a 16 mm wrench size you can access the plug even in tight engine compartments. The spark gap is 1.1 mm from the factory for smooth running, but check and adjust if necessary according to the engine manufacturer’s instructions. Always tighten the plug according to the torque specified by the engine manufacturer to ensure proper sealing without damaging threads or cylinder head.
