Lewmar EVO Race and EVO Race+ are self-tailing, 2-speed sheet winches in black anodised aluminium. The self-tailing function lets you trim efficiently without holding the line, while the adjustable, integrated feeder arm guides the line cleanly and reduces tangles in the cockpit. Arrows on the top clearly indicate the winding direction so you work correctly even as the load increases. The grippy drum with carbon fibre inserts in the top provides lower weight and a secure, precise feel with every turn. All service is done quickly and completely without tools – perfect for keeping performance at its peak between sails. If you want to ease the crew’s workload, the winch can be upgraded to electric operation with EVO conversion.

Lightweight or classic

EVO Race+ uses lighter materials including aluminium and composite for noticeable weight savings and a sleeker, more race-oriented look. EVO Race shares the same architecture, grip, and serviceability, but with a classically robust feel. Choose Race+ when every kilo counts and you prioritise active trimming during regattas; choose EVO Race when you want proven construction with the same smooth handling and self-tailing for both cruising and racing.
