Typhoon TX-3+ Offshore is a unisex sailing salopette built as a shell without insulation – you control the warmth with layers underneath. The fabric is a durable 3-layer nylon with Tactel yarn and DWR (water-repellent treatment) that makes water bead off and helps the trousers dry instantly. An active TPU membrane (waterproof and breathable layer) and fully taped seams create a cohesive barrier against rain, spray, and wind.

Bib construction (raised front and back panel) encloses the torso and protects you when sitting in the cockpit, standing by the winch, or moving across the deck. Adjustable, elastic suspenders and an elastic waist with adjustment tabs that won’t snag let you fine-tune the fit. Articulated knees (pre-shaped design) and the fabric’s mechanical stretch allow you to work freely on board.

For durability where it’s needed most, the seat and knees are reinforced with Cordura (extra abrasion-resistant nylon). Center zipper with internal gusset prevents water ingress, and reflective print details make you more visible at dawn and dusk. The chest pockets have spray-protected zippers and the thigh pocket is a large, self-draining bellows pocket — perfect for knife, tape, and small tools without water collecting. Wear the trousers alone in milder weather or combine with the TX-3+ Offshore jacket for complete weather protection on longer passages.

How many layers

The garment is constructed in three layers where the outer fabric, membrane, and protective inner layer are laminated together into a compact material. This provides lower weight, high durability, and instant drying time – features that make a big difference when you sail actively in more demanding conditions.

Water column

The water column is 10,000 – 15,000 millimeters, which is just above the level around 9,000 millimeters and is well suited for more active trips in varied weather. You can count on reliable protection during longer periods in rain and spray. The membrane is specified to 15K waterproofness.

Performance level

These are at the Normal level: classic sailing apparel with high waterproofness, three-layer construction, and smart details. A safe choice for those who are out often in all kinds of weather, but do not need the heaviest ocean garments.

Delivery time

Stock status and available quantities are shown for each variant/size. If you order items in stock before 12:30 (working days), your order will be dispatched from our warehouse the same day — otherwise on the next working day.

If you order a back-order item (or more than we have in stock), the usual delivery time is 5–9 working days.
