Musto BR2 Offshore 2.0 for women is a shell sailing trouser built for tough sailing with long-lasting protection against rain, wind, and spray. The bib construction – raised front and back – protects the upper body and keeps mid-layers dry, while reinforcements on seat and knees provide durability when sitting, kneeling, or working on deck.

Waterproof rating

The trousers have a waterproof rating of 30,000 millimeters. This means protection designed for prolonged exposure in heavy rain and demanding offshore conditions. Together with fully taped seams, you get reliable weather protection that still breathes when working onboard.

How many layers

The garment is made in a two-layer construction where the outer fabric is combined with a waterproof membrane, with a soft lining inside for comfort. This construction provides a good balance between weather protection and freedom of movement – perfect when you want to vary your base layers without the trousers feeling stiff.

Features that make a difference onboard

The women’s drop-seat solution opens with two side zippers, so you can use the toilet without removing the entire trouser – convenient when the weather won’t wait. The shoulder straps are adjustable and have no plastic buckles for greater comfort on your shoulders during long passages. The waist is adjustable to fit well even over several layers. Heavy-duty 600D polyester reinforcements on seat and knees resist abrasion from deck, winches, and cockpit edges. Velcro adjustment at the leg cuffs helps keep water out and fits over boots. The bib features a large chest pocket and handwarmer chest pockets, and on the thigh a spacious pocket with water-repellent closure and integrated D-ring for kill cord (a safety line that stops the engine if you fall overboard). The zipper is YKK Vislon – a well-known quality brand.

Materials and sustainability

Materials: Shell 100% cotton, shell 2 100% polyester, lining 100% polyamide. The trousers are PFC-free and made with bluesign-certified materials (bluesign sets strict requirements for chemicals and resources in production). The breathable construction helps you maintain a comfortable climate inside even during active sailing.

BR2 Offshore 2.0 is a step up from Musto BR1 Channel – you get higher waterproofness, a more robust construction, and offshore adaptation. Care instructions

Close Velcro and zippers before washing. Wash with similar colors and avoid fabric softener, which can impair the material’s water protection. Use Nikwax Tech Wash for cleaning and reproof with Nikwax TX.Direct when water no longer beads on the surface. Always follow the garment’s care instructions.

Stock status and available quantities are shown for each variant/size. If you order items in stock before 12:30 (working days), your order will be dispatched from our warehouse the same day — otherwise on the next working day.

If you order a back-order item (or more than we have in stock), the usual delivery time is 5–9 working days.

We offer 365 days for returns. We also make the process simple: we always include a return label in your parcel. You don’t need to fill in forms or paperwork. If you choose to use our return label, we charge €8.90 for the return postage — usually cheaper and simpler than arranging return shipping yourself. We don’t charge any other return fees.
