Gill OS2 Offshore in the colour Graphite is a robust men’s shell trouser with bib construction (high front and back), developed for wet stints on deck. When you’re sitting in the cockpit, working at the winches, or standing on the foredeck in spray and wind, the high upper helps keep your upper body drier and reduces cold drafts.

2-layer fabric – what does it mean for you?

The trousers are built with an XPLORE 2-layer construction: a hard-wearing outer fabric is combined with a waterproof, breathable membrane on the inside. This creates a garment that stands up to wet conditions, while still letting excess heat escape when you move and work on board. The result is a more comfortable feel during longer days at sea, compared with simpler rainwear that can easily feel clammy.

Water column 20 000 millimetres

The sailing trousers have a water column of 20 000 millimetres. This level is intended for prolonged exposure in heavy rain and tough weather conditions at sea. For you, that means the trousers can handle wet decks, persistent showers, and lots of spray for extended periods.

Details that make a difference in heavy weather

To keep water out where it often gets in, the seams are fully taped and the trousers feature a YKK zipper with an internal waterproof gusset that provides an extra barrier when you take seas over the deck. The XPEL treatment together with DWR (water-repellent treatment) makes it harder for water and stains to stick, so the garment stays fresher and dries faster after your watch.

Durability, fit and storage

Reinforced knees and seat take the hit from kneeling work, rough deck surfaces and lots of sitting. You fine-tune the fit with adjustable braces, an elastic waist and a stretch panel at the back that follows your body when you reef, trim sheets and move between stations. Fleece-lined handwarmer pockets provide quick warmth when you pause, and a deep thigh pocket with secure closure, D-ring, plus a separate attachment for a PLB or multi-tool means important small items can be carried close and within easy reach.

Materials with recycled content

Up to 98% of the garment’s content is recycled – from the main fabric to the reinforcement panels – without compromising performance. Materials: Shell 100% nylon (recycled content), lining/fleece 100% polyester (recycled content), reinforcements 60% polyester / 40% polyester (recycled content).
