Gill Championship sailing gloves are built for those who want great grip and high durability when there’s a lot of load on board. Dura-Grip reinforcement in the palm and over the fingers helps you hold sheets, lines and the wheel with more control, while the increased durability means the gloves stand up to daily use.
The back of the hand is made with 4-way stretch that follows your hand as you work on board. This provides both excellent freedom of movement and a fit that stays put when it’s wet and messy, and the material is also water-repellent with UV 50+ protection for longer days at sea.
Which version should you choose?
Choose short fingers if you prioritize maximum fingertip feel for tasks such as trim, snap shackle, shackles and other precision work. Choose long fingers if you want more protection over the fingers, while still keeping some fingertip feel since the thumb and index finger are shorter on this model as well.
Comfort when you sail for long periods
Offset seams remove pressure points and help reduce wear where gloves otherwise tend to fail first. Seamless reinforcements around the fingers also make them feel softer against the skin, especially when you grip hard. The pre-curved fingers let you work more naturally, and the shorter cuff reduces bulk around the wrist so it’s smooth under jacket sleeves and during intensive manoeuvring.
