When is this buoyancy aid suitable?

This is a sailing buoyancy aid/all-round vest in the 50N class – a buoyancy aid for swimmers. It provides good buoyancy if you end up in the water but lacks a collar and is not designed to turn an unconscious person onto their back. It is therefore best suited for sheltered waters and for activities where you move a lot, such as sailing, dinghy, powerboating and paddling.

Fit and comfort

The short, flexible fit allows you to work freely on deck. The waist belt with plastic buckle provides a secure and even tightening, and the lacing at the top and bottom helps you keep the vest close to your body – comfortable when it’s windy or when you’re actively sitting in the dinghy.

Material and care

The vest is made of 100% polyester and is easy to keep fresh: gentle machine wash at 40 degrees. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, dry cleaning and ironing to preserve the material and buoyancy elements in good condition.
