When is this buoyancy aid suitable?

This is a sailing buoyancy aid/all-round buoyancy aid in the 50N class – a flotation device for swimmers. It provides good buoyancy if you end up in the water but lacks a collar and is not designed to turn an unconscious person onto their back. It is therefore best suited for sheltered waters and for activities where you move a lot, such as sailing, dinghy, powerboating and paddling.

Fit and comfort

The short, flexible fit allows you to work freely on deck. The waist belt with plastic buckle provides a secure and even tightening, and the lacing at the top and bottom helps you keep the vest close to your body – comfortable when it’s windy or when you’re actively sitting in the dinghy.

Material and care

The vest is made of 100% polyester and is easy to keep fresh: gentle machine wash at 40 degrees. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, dry cleaning and ironing to preserve the material and buoyancy elements in good condition.

Note the difference between size and buoyancy: the 50N class describes the vest’s buoyancy, not which body weight it fits.
