When is this vest suitable?
JOBE Neoprene Vest Kids is a sailing buoyancy aid (all-round vest) in the 50N class for children who can swim. It lacks a collar and therefore provides great freedom of movement â perfect for boat trips, dinghy sailing, kayak & canoe, SUP, and other watersports. The design allows the child to move arms and upper body freely, making everything from boarding to paddling or trimming sails easier.
The front zipper makes putting on and taking off easy, even at the dock. The two adjustable straps (3.8 cm) with robust buckle help you fine-tune the fit so the vest stays securely close to the body all day.
Comfort and construction
The soft, flexible neoprene fabric shapes to the body and feels comfortable even when the vest is worn for long periods. The buoyancy elements are soft and flexible, reducing chafing and making it easy to play, paddle, and sail. A smart water drainage system quickly releases water so the vest does not become unnecessarily heavy and also dries faster between swims.
30% limestone neoprene provides a durable surface with nice stretch and slightly lower environmental impact. The YKK zipper at the front and the sturdy buckle are chosen to withstand repeated use in a marine environment. The unisex fit makes the vest work equally well regardless of body type.
Safety
The vest is a 50N buoyancy aid: it helps the child stay afloat but is not designed to turn an unconscious person onto their back. For children who cannot swim, a life jacket is recommended.
