All-round sailing buoyancy aid for active boating

1852-Marine Active 50N is a comfortable sailing buoyancy aid that gives you freedom of movement and easy use for everyday life on board. It works just as well on a sailing yacht as on a motorboat, dinghy, or kayak. The collarless design allows free movement of arms and upper body, and the single-color, stylish design makes it easy to wear all day long.

The front zipper makes the buoyancy aid quick to put on and take off, the adjustable waist belt locks the fit, and the side lace adjustment fine-tunes so the buoyancy aid stays secure even when you move around the deck.

Safety in the 50N class

This is a sailing buoyancy aid/all-round buoyancy aid in the 50N class – a flotation device for swimmers. It helps you stay afloat but is not designed to turn an unconscious person onto their back. For those who are not swimmers, or if you want turning capability and extra safety, we recommend a life jacket (at least 100N) or an inflatable life jacket (150N).

How to choose size

Buoyancy aid sizes are based on body weight. Therefore, choose a size that matches your weight – this gives you both the right fit and the right function. Note that the sizes (kg) are not the same as the buoyancy aid’s flotation (50N). 50N indicates buoyancy class and function, while the size determines how the buoyancy aid fits you.
