Inflatable safety you’ll want to wear

Regatta AquaSafe are inflatable lifejackets with automatic activation – meaning the lifejacket inflates itself when it comes into contact with water. Compared to lifejackets with fixed buoyancy elements, they are more flexible and comfortable to wear, making it more likely you’ll actually keep it on at all times on board. The UML firing system works reliably in the background and activates when needed.

Both Junior and Elite feature well-designed safety details: adjustable waist belt with quick-release buckle, crotch strap to keep the lifejacket in place, whistle for attention, reflective details for increased visibility, and a clear lifting loop for quick recovery on board.

Junior or Elite – what’s the difference?

AquaSafe Junior is a lightweight and functional inflatable lifejacket for children who can swim. It has 110N buoyancy (classified as 100N) to help turn the child onto their back and keep airways clear. Junior models have a ventilated mesh back panel for airflow. The Junior Harness variant is also equipped with a harness attachment (D-ring) for safety line and features soft neoprene in the neck for extra comfort.

AquaSafe Elite is the model for adults with 170N buoyancy (classified as 150N), designed for high safety even in tougher conditions and together with sailing gear. Elite also features a D-ring for kill cord to jet ski – connect your kill switch so the engine stops if you fall in, reducing the risk of further incidents.

Material, comfort, and delivery

All AquaSafe lifejackets are sewn in durable nylon that withstands moisture and wear year after year. The low profile and even weight distribution allow you to move freely while sailing, fishing, or in a powerboat. Each lifejacket is delivered complete and ready to use: Junior comes with 24 gram CO2 cylinder, Elite with 33 gram.

Maintenance and smart use

For the lifejacket to protect, it must be worn correctly and be charged. Check annually that the CO2 cylinder is intact and correct weight, that the firing tablet is valid, and that the indicators show green. Regatta recommends servicing the firing mechanism every other year to maintain function. Replace worn parts immediately and test inflate manually at the start of the season to ensure tightness.
