Cleans and restores performance in deck shoes and sea boots

Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel is a specialized cleaner for all types of waterproof shoes and boots. Perfect onboard for deck shoes, docksides, and sea boots used in damp and salty environments. When the outer material gets dirty, it absorbs water, which reduces both water repellency (DWR) and breathability – resulting in damp, sticky feet. The gel removes these contaminants and revives water repellency so moisture can ventilate out and your feet stay dry and comfortable. Volume: 125 ml.

Use after all loose dirt has been rinsed and brushed off to deep clean the shoe or boot and prepare for waterproofing. The product is recommended for Gore‑Tex, eVent, and other waterproof membrane solutions, and works equally well on fabric and leather shoes. In addition to boating, it is also suitable for hiking, outdoor work, and everyday use.

How to use

1. Shake the bottle well. If your bottle has a sponge applicator, press down the sponge to break the seal on first use.
2. Rinse the shoes in clean water to remove excess dirt and dampen the surface.
3. Apply the product and gently scrub with the applicator or a soft brush.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
5. If necessary, apply suitable Nikwax waterproofing or leather conditioner while the shoes are still damp.
6. Allow to dry naturally at room temperature. Stuff paper into the toes to draw out moisture and avoid heat sources such as radiators and fire (can crack leather and cause soles to separate).
7. Note: color may bleed – test on a hidden area first.

This product is in stock and we have 24 units available. If you place your order before 12:30 (working days), your order will be dispatched from our warehouse the same day. Otherwise, it will be dispatched on the next working day.

Shipping costs

The standard shipping cost for this product is €6.49. You can choose other delivery options (such as pickup point or home delivery) which in some cases may cost a little more, but there will always be a €6.49 option.

Returns & right of withdrawal

We offer 365 days for returns. We also make the process simple: we always include a return label in your parcel. You don’t need to fill in forms or paperwork. If you choose to use our return label, we charge €8.90 for the return postage — usually cheaper and simpler than arranging return shipping yourself. We don’t charge any other return fees.
