Castro Fender Covers for cylindrical fenders are an easy way to keep both fenders and topsides looking fresh throughout the season. The covers act as a protective layer between the fender and the boat, reducing the risk of marks and dirt while also eliminating the classic squeaking when the boat moves in its mooring.
All variants are supplied as 2-pack and are made from double-sided 100% polyester fabric. This gives a robust feel and withstands daily use at docks, buoys and along the quay. The construction is also sewn with triple stitching for higher abrasion resistance, and the fabric is designed to help prevent tears when the fender works against the surface.
Choose the right size for your fender
For the cover to fit properly, you need to match the dimensions of your cylindrical fender. Choose the size that corresponds to your fender:
- NFD-1: fits boat fender 51 cm x Ø18 cm
- NFD-2: fits boat fender 60 cm x Ø22 cm
- F2: fits boat fender 62 cm x Ø22 cm
- NFD-3: fits boat fender 71 cm x Ø26 cm
- F3: fits boat fender 75 cm x Ø22 cm
- F5: fits boat fender 77 cm x Ø30 cm
- NFD-4: fits boat fender 90 cm x Ø29 cm
- F6: fits boat fender 100 cm x Ø27 cm
- F4: fits boat fender 106 cm x Ø22 cm
- F7: fits boat fender 125 cm x Ø27 cm
Differences between the F series and the NFD series
The covers are developed for Castro Model F and Castro Model NFD respectively, and may also fit other similar cylindrical fenders in corresponding sizes. The F series Fender Covers are sewn with triple stitching for extra abrasion resistance. The NFD series also features ultra-strong hook-and-loop closure that helps keep the cover closed during impacts, as well as reflective strips for increased visibility during evening mooring and in harbours with heavy boat traffic.
