Proper use onboard
Haswing Ultima Travel is a transom-mounted electric outboard in the class for longer trips. It is ideal when you want to get from point A to point B in a way that resembles a small petrol outboard, but with the electric motorâs quiet operation, low running costs, and everyday convenience. It works just as well as the only motor on smaller boats as it does as a complement on larger ones, and is perfect for transport to the club island, the cottage, or calm stretches between natural harbors.
Choose shaft length based on your boat and transom. Short shaft suits inflatable boats and dinghies, medium shaft suits rowboats and smaller motorboats, and long shaft suits sailboats or boats with a high transom. Regardless of your choice, you get the same strong drivetrain, the same integrated battery, and the same smooth handling.
Power and control
The brushless motor at 1030 W is equivalent to about 3 hp, providing plenty of power for transport and full control in tight marinas. You get stepless speed forward and reverse, adjustable tiller, and a 3-blade propeller that grips the water efficiently. The motor can rotate 360 degrees and has lockable tilt, making maneuvering easy even near docks and in shallow water. A robust skeg helps protect the propeller in case of unexpected groundings.
The integrated lithium battery at 29.6 V and 30 Ah clicks on and off like an e-bike battery. You remove the battery, charge it at home with the included charger, and are ready again without cable hassle. A built-in display with battery status lets you plan your trip with confidence. The noise level is low, up to 55 dB, so you can talk normally onboard and enjoy nature. The motor is suitable for both saltwater and freshwater, and safety is enhanced by a magnetic kill switch.
Electric power has many advantages onboard: it is quiet, environmentally friendly, and inexpensive to run. This makes everyday boating easier, especially for those who often travel short to medium distances. Keep in mind that top speed consumes more energy; many choose to cruise at a more moderate pace for longer range. Now have it for my sailboat Albin Express. 3 hp is on the lower end but works perfectly. Recommended! Just make sure to choose the long shaft. Electric outboards are more sensitive than petrol outboards as they need all the power they can get = the propeller deep down.

Easy and convenient to handle. The battery lasts well as long as you can run at low throttle. Feels a bit weak and not quite like 3 hp. In headwind and rough seas you have to use the throttle to get anywhere, and then the charge drops quickly. Mounted on a boat that is 5 x 2 m and weighs about 500 kg.

Very satisfied with the purchase! I’m not very experienced with boats and outboard motors, but got great help from Moory. The issue with shaft length was tricky. Our plastic dinghy measures 43 cm from the transom down to the bottom of the boat and this motor reaches about 65 cm down from the gunwale, so it feels like they work well together.
It takes about 6-7 hours to fully charge the battery and we have gone as far as 6 km on one charge when the winds were light.
Neither the motor unit nor the battery is very heavy â it’s quite easy for one person to carry, even if you’re not that strong.
The outboard is very easy to handle, the controls are easy to learn. Before I bought the outboard, I wasn’t sure if it would be possible to tilt the motor, but it worked fine. There are 6 tilt angles from straight down to almost straight out that the outboard can be set to.
It’s easy to remove the battery. There are a couple of orange protective covers for the connectors that are a bit fiddly, but that’s a minor issue.
It’s great that you can run both forward and reverse.
The noise level is wonderfully low compared to a regular (non-electric) outboard. However, it’s not completely silent â a distinct humming can be heard when running. I would guess there are electric outboards that are quieter. As I said, we are very happy so far!

The outboard without the battery is easy to mount/dismount. The battery is equipped with a sturdy handle and is also easy to mount/dismount thanks to the dovetail guide. Together, this means I don’t have to leave the outboard so it can be stolen.
The quality seems to be very good with solid workmanship.
Good and clear charge indicator on the battery.
However, the throttle is reversed compared to the petrol outboard. Clockwise rotation = more power forward and counterclockwise = more power astern. I have to mount the outboard so I can steer and throttle with my right hand.
Easy to adjust the shaft to the desired angle.

Sturdy construction and works just as well as expected. Super easy and quick to mount/dismount the battery. We use the outboard on a Linder 410 Fishing (boat weight approx. 75 kg). The top speed is about 4.3 knots with two people and 4.6 knots with one person (sitting on the center thwart).

Very easy to handle and connect/disconnect the battery. The entire construction feels solid and of high quality. Good battery capacity if you don’t run at max. Easy to install, easy to use.
I use it on a smaller dinghy. I never need to run it at more than the lower power setting, 1 hp. Wonderful to avoid petrol spills and noise.
Since I often remove the outboard, as I also sail with the boat, itâs simple to first detach the battery, and then the motor unit. No heavy lifting then.
Another advantage is that the newer 4-stroke outboards must be stored in a certain position so the oil in the crankcase doesnât leak out. Hassle I avoid with the electric outboard.
I highly recommend this outboard.

Smooth, quiet and solid outboard. Good quality feel in the throttle control etc. I might have expected a bit more power from the outboard when it is stated to have an output equivalent to a 4 hp petrol outboard. But all in all, a really good outboard.
