Fit and dimensions
This brass drain plug has a flange Ø45 mm and a hose connection Ø23 mm. The length below the flange is 10 mm, which gives a low build height and a discreet installation that is easy to keep clean. The plug thread is 3/8″, so you can easily find a spare plug and make quick replacements when needed.
Installation and placement
External mounting with three screw holes makes the job straightforward and quick, even for retrofitting. Mount at the bottom of the transom so you can drain the boat on land. Screw in the plug at launch and remove it when hauling out to release any standing water.
Care and durability
Brass withstands both fresh and salt water and provides long service life in a marine environment. Check that the rubber in the plug has not dried out and replace it if necessary to avoid seeping leaks. Rinse the parts with fresh water after trips in a saltwater environment. A suitable spare plug is available as an accessory.
