Shurflo accumulator tank of 0.71 liter helps your freshwater system on board maintain a more even pressure. The result is a smoother water flow at the tap and less pulsation when the pressure water pump is running.
How it helps your pressure water pump
The tank’s built-in rubber bladder (diaphragm) acts as a buffer between the pump and consumers. When you open a tap, the tank can absorb pressure peaks and make up when the pressure drops, which reduces the pump’s unnecessary start and stop cycles. This provides smoother running and can extend the pump’s service life.
Pressure and adjustment
The accumulator tank has a pre-charged pressure of 30 psi (2.1 bar) and handles max pressure up to 125 psi (8.8 bar). For best function, adjust the air pressure in the bladder so it matches the pump’s static pressure setting. In the product information, a normal value for Shurflo pumps is stated as 2.07 bar.
Connections and dimensions
The tank is plastic and has a 1/2" (NPSM) connection as well as 13 mm (1/2") hose. Two 1/2" hose barbs are included. Dimensions are 23.3 cm length, 21 cm width and 9.7 cm height.
